You’re right – you’re certainly not the first, nor the last, and head games are a total Biach!!! that’s because head games come from your worst enemy – the one who knows you better than anyone else, and can tap into your deepest, darkest fears and insecurities – YOU!!!
So, in order to succeed, you have to defeat yourself!!!
I know it sounds like an oxymoron, but think about it…
YOU are your most formidable opponent… Once you can defeat yourself, and are able to control how you respond, and react, to the unfortunate events in your life, then you can conquer anything!

I feel that you have the right attitude, and I’m sure you have what it takes.

The hard part now, is going to be controlling your eagerness, and getting back to speed one step at a time… It will take a couple of weeks to get back to where you were before you were sick.
Don’t get discouraged, and don’t try to rush it, or you will end up with another injury. You have great enthusiasm, but be smart about your comeback – take it one step at a time.

I do agree that these series of unfortunate events, will make me appreciate TKD so much more. I know I’m not the first person to deal with this, and I am certainly not the last. But I am very eager to get back and prove to myself I have what it takes. Head games are a biatch!! <3

…one more thing…
I do believe things happen for a reason… Shit doesn’t just happen!
You might not know why at the time, but just get through it, and one day you will realise that the universe had a purpose for testing you this way, and putting you through all this crap. In the end you will come out of it much stronger than you were, with lots of lessons learned… In this case, it _might_ just be for you to realise how much you miss and appreciate Tkd!
Don’t worry, you will be back with a vengeance, in no time!

Yes, you can. No other option!!! I got a little teary eyed while reading your post, Dez!! I’ll be sending all my good vibes and energy your way! Once you stop focusing on what you can’t do, and what’s been bringing you down, you’ll get there. One of my families is a big believer in manifesting your own destiny, and a 4 yo often tells me “You just gotta believe in it Kasey, and it will happen!” Good luck, tough mama!!!
