  1. I made your pizza last night and it was a HUGE hit. Thanks for sharing Dez xx

  2. This is awesome. Since I’m working on losing weight I’ve been wanting to add more vegetarian dishes to my menu instead of so much meat. It helps that I love veggies :) .

I’ll be trying these out for sure!

And thanks again for stopping by my blog!

    • Hey Stacey!

I’ve tried 3 or 4 times to go veggie…this time I watched some movies, did some reading about the food industry and once you know what goes on, you can’t unlearn it!

Its been sooooooo easy! I’m tell’n you! I even got my BBQ’n midwest rib love’n boyfriend to eat my “froo-froo girly food” as he calls it. And now he even cooks my Quorn, Boca burgers and Morning star for me!

I always thought vegetarians just eat brocolli and soy and tofu. I haven’t had tofu for a meal ONCE. Its all about replacement. The first 2 weeks were hard, giving up meat burgers were the hardest. But my usual hang out places have AMAZING veggie burgers and lots of veggie options! It’s pretty easy now!

I started it for Lent, as a trial till I can’t stand it anymore.. but 5months going strong!

I have some good recommendations for recipes and cook books!

And as for money… it does not cost more to be organic/vegetarian, I actually SAVED money. I spend around $97 every TWO weeks on my food.

I did some food math in this post: There are a few of my favorite things

      Thanks for reading! :)

      • I’d love some recommendations on cook books! I don’t know if I’ll go totally vegetarian or not I just haven’t decided but I think I probably will eventually. I am going to start by adding in meals that would traditionally be meat and change them up for veggie alternatives. And when I eat out choose veggie options instead of meat options. I will still cook meat for my family since they simply have no interest and I do believe my son (19 months) is too young to be giving up meat (just my opinion).

I’m loving the replacement idea I’ll have to check into Quorn and Morning star, I have had Boca burgers before and loved them.

        Thanks for your help!

      • I’m a big fan of the Hungry Girl cook books, I recently got 200 recipes under 200 calories. I dont think its targeting vegetarians, but by default, all the replacements of vegetarian friendly!

I’m also a big fan of Rocco DiSpirito, Now Eat This cook book. I’m running a photo contest here on the blog where you can win one!! Check it out!
